who is ...

by thespian @ 2008-03-27 - 20:15:03

your nominations please for best actor in the world ever, and best actress in the world ever.

it can be stage, tv or film.

the prize is a night out with that person, subject to the not very small print of me being able to get in touch with them at any stage in the next millennium.

Yes, let's form a disorderly queue like we usually do, ladies, for Mr Depp.

But seriously...

Best actor: Ian McKellen and Judy Dench (doing TV adaptation of Macbeth of late 70s - I'm going for living actors because I'm not fancying a seance)

...I meant best actor and actress, sorry Jude...

good choice, deana.

It completely brought macbeth to life for me, still my favourite. Miss Dench is truly magnificent in everything she does.

Big Bird and Zippy. Bungo's just too stoopid.

i rather rated kermit and miss piggy.

Yes they had the charisma of the Hollywood old school stars, but I prefer the more modern actor with a more natural and relaxed style. Also I wonder whether Kermit and Miss Piggy weren't just 'playing themselves', whereas Big Bird and Zippy were undoubtably acting.

Gerard Depardieu.
And he apparently likes his food so it'll be a great meal!

Well, if I don't win Johnny Depp in the wrestling competition with Copdam and Deana, I'd go for:

James Stewart and Katharine Hepburn

that's a very good choice cos i won't be able to contact them to arrange your prizewinning night out!
and they're both brilliant, i agree.

It's just got to be Marlon Brando, and the actress, Rock Hudson.

Well, I was going to say Johnny Depp too, but I see I'm not the only one! I think he's great because he can convincingly play such a variety of odd characters. I also like Cate Blanchett for the same reason. (Also, Mr Depp is rather hot, which helps)

mr depp does seem popular!

After careful consideration , it was an extremelly difficult choice ...but...

My vote goes to :

Dustin Hoffman

Meryl Streep

(although I love Brad, very much);)

Looks like Johnny Depp's been well and truly taken then!
Hmm. Who now?
Perhaps I should be grown up and go for Nick Nolte who gave a performance in Lorenzo's Oil that just about ripped me apart.
As for an actress - well, that has to be Katherine Hepburn in The African Queen. They just don't make 'em like that any more!

never seen nick nolte, but i recently saw 'the african queen' again and hepburn is fantastic, isn't she?
